2013 528i F10 multimedia unit is CIC or NBT?

Hi all,
I intend to upgrade my 2013 528i F10 iDrive to an Apple carplay system. However, I am not sure whether it is a CIC or NBT plug pin. I do not want to go to the workshop and pay labour just to confirm on the above.

May I know whether any of you have upgraded to a Carplay system on the same BMW model like mine? And whether the multimedia display unit is using NBT or CIC system?

Finally my carplay and android auto is up. Nice interface and I am happy overall. Cheaper than if i buy locally here. Managed to save $200 by getting it on my own. They deliver quite fast too. It took abt 5 days to reach me.

I think you need to upgrade to NBT EVO6 to get CarPlay.

Can share where did you get the Carplay kit from (brand and model) and what's the damage like? Is the installation complicated?
