2009 Porsche Panamera Renderings





Our Italian blogger-buddies at Autoblog.it have posted a new set of scanned (?) renderings featuring the long awaited 2009 Porsche Panamera. We’re getting the feeling that Porsche’s first ever 4door (or 5door) sedan will be one of those hate it or love it cars, and to be honest, from what we’ve seen up to now, we’re leaning towards the “hate it” part.

This simply shows how difficult it is to adapt 'Porsche form" to anything other than a 911. They tried to do it to the Cayenne and failed. The early sketches released by Porsche of the Panamera looked promising, but the latest offering above seems to have been diluted by the inevitable compromises needed to get the car to road-going form. Methinks the Concept CS a better resolved design.
