2 models of Sprint Booster

Hi Guys,

I want to buy the sprint booster but understand that there are 2 models:

The normal type and the aggressive type.

Anyone has any experience with the more aggressive model? How is the drivability of the car from start with this model? Is it jerky when starting off?

Kindly advise. Thanks.

Re: 2 models of Sprint Booster

Depends on what car ur talking about.

For the E46, all the SBs are the aggressive ones.

So far, I only heard from Seetoh that it will be a little jerky when the aggressive one is installed on an E60 525 and above.

SPRINT-BOOSTER.CO.UK - ETC REPLACEMENT FOR FASTER RESPONSE AND GREATER ACCELERATION

Check out the link above...no where does it state that there are 2 types of SB available for the same make/model.

But google it and this is what can be found...

SPRINTBOOSTER, a Plug-n-Play Performance Upgrade for your Model. This is an upgrade that you can feel with normal everyday driving, not just on the track at redline! Two versions available for most models, the 'Standard' or 'Plus'. The 'Standard' is recommended for the automatic transmission and the 'Plus' for the manual transmission. The 'Plus' has a slightly more aggressive mapping more suitable for the manual transmission, while the 'standard' is recommended for the automatic transmission.

Not sure if this helps... :)

Either way, once installed, you'll never look back. Cheers!

Re: 2 models of Sprint Booster

why u all want SB? It makes the car jerky like its gonna cum like that. Isnt more pedal travel better? How difficult is it to push yr right foot by a few inches more. I know some of us find our BMW a little so called less responsive at the initial throttle, but its a safety feature built.

Well, I guess it's always a case of 1 man's meat is another's poison.

For those who already love their car as it is, then the thought of installing a SB (however appealing the specs may be), or any other devices, will not tempt him/her an inch.

For those who love to experience that extra amplification that some modification/addition may bring about to the performance of their car, then installing such devices will appeal to those beaver eyes.

As for whether it be air filters, spark plugs, fuel additives, ECU remapping, electronic throttle bypass gadgets, and the list goes on, the question then really is for the individual to determine how best they would like to transform their car, given the budget that they have.

Cheers! :)
