hi all... thanks for accepting me into this great bimmer forum, i am currently driving a jap 1.5L car and looking to upgrade to a conti hopefully soon since my kid is growing and all (it's really a selfish reason but you know... :) )

looking at a merc c200 and a bmw 320i and i was pretty interested to see more info on the 2009 320i model which PML has on their webby... any thread or owner of the new 3 series to share their experience?

from web i got this performance spec on the new 320 (EU spec probably):
in-line 4-cylinder petrol engine with direct injection,
capacity: 1,995 cc, output: 125 kW/170 bhp at 6,700 rpm,
max. torque: 210 Nm at 4,250 rpm,
acceleration [0–100 km/h]: 8.2 seconds
maximum speed: 228 km/h

hope to learn more and one day be a conti car owner :laughlik:

Re: 1st post

Those specs are for the 320Si I believe - a special version to homologate the car that is used for the touring car championships.

The standard 320i gets 148bhp/200nm.

Welcome!
And congrats on your intention...

Badges aside. don't fret too much whether it's jap or conti.
There're plenty of beautifully built & engineered rides coming from either side of the ocean.

:)
