19" tyres for E90

Looks like there is a RIM mod virus going around as just saw como changed shoes...oops almost wanted to get the same design

Anyway spotted a set of 19" rims I like at Stamford Tyres yesterday. Asked them what good rubbers are available and they recommended Falken and Continental which are the only 2 brands they sell.
Quoted 235/35/R19 as follows:
1. FALKEN 452...$450 per piece[not sure if model no. is 100% correct but told this anyway]
2. CONTINENTAL CSC2...$700 per piece:screwedu:

This morning I went to Leong Seng Tyres and asked about the much popular MICHELIN PS2...errr no stock...Then Daniel check check and said the 19" PS2 are something like $550 or so, maybe $600 each :woowooo: Which looks cheaper than CONTI CSC2 but doesnt hv firm price for MICHELIN PS2.

Based on these 3:
FALKEN 452 @$450
CONTI CSC2 @$700
MICHELIN PS2 @$550~600

Seems like MICHELIN is best choice if I get the 19" rim? Where else sells MICHELIN PS2 esp 19" where I can get a proper quoted?:juggle:

You should also consider Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3 or Dunlop Sport Maxx.

235/35/19 around $320-$350each. Good luck

Retail Prices for 235/35/19 for

PS2 = HIgh $500 (less than $600)
SO3 = $480-$520

anything more than that, just walk away! Dont bother..prices too high,trying to makan you only.

The good deal shops to try are South East, Rays, poh heng etc

Maybe mine's a little wider thus the higher price? The shop i went to (forgot the place) has 245 (f) in stock but i had to wait quite a while for my 275 (r).

Think i paid SG$2800 for all 4? Was that OK?

Think i need to change to 16" rims, holy $5 for tires batman!

245 / 275 on 19 in should be ard 2.7-2.8k, so i think your quote was about right there.
Why do u need new tires again?

My advice to you, skip the PS2, CSCII, SO-3 and Falken.... Get either Toyo T1R or Dunlop Sport Maxx,..good value for money.

bro, dat is quite ex man.....

I still thought is pretty cheap as I got my below 3k...but my tyres are slightly smaller.... front 235 rear 265.... hmm....Possible to list down which shop can can fetch a better price for PS2.... is about time to start looking out liao....:laughlik:

My advice to you, skip the PS2, CSCII, SO-3 and Falken.... Get either Toyo T1R or Dunlop Sport Maxx,..good value for money.

yeah having done some 'research' I realise shops selling PS2 any how shout prices one, machiam like 7-month-hantu-auction. On the survey results of tiretrack.com, I saw that Dunlop Sport Maxx actually pipped PS2 in the ranking as most popular tyre, so now I am sort of inclined to get Dunlop Sport Maxxx, maybe use the difference in price of approx. $300 per tyre to consider a better rim than the one I saw at Stamford, which cost $350[19" studded rim] to say maybe a BBS rim where I was quoted one for about $650 for 19"[not studded, just one piece rim].

I prefer 19" bcos the rim I saw [ a few I like but the nicest one was a 19" which my SCO like as well, so saves a lot of arguement in future ]

The profile of the tyre will be lower lor. From 40series drop to 35 series I think.
