135i gear knob mod

Hi guys

i see that the new 135i at the pml showroom comes with the below knob

anyone know if its possible to change to that?

thinking of changing it if i don sell my car in OCT

dunno if u guys can see the pic...but its the gear knob thats found on the m3 as well?

yes u can. Can approach Mike at SWC for purchase and installation.

wow. am suprise 135 comes with this knob now.

the paddle shift is the - on left + on right now as well...

also if i remember correct..the handbrake is the new small small one as well..think can change handbrake too?

its easy to change handbrakes too. just remove the leather boot and yank the handle out. all can be done by mike.

no la. only a different size or design knob. the one in the pic is an electronic parking brake. dun think u can mod.

at least now i have something in mind what to do in oct hahaha

rims + downpipes + knob + coilovers + angel eyes and perhaps front lip and side skirt

still gonna sell...just planing in case i cant selll it...coz its in OCT...asked a few dealers...noone can quote me yet...... afew told me 135i noone wanna buy etc....

dun listen to them la. they will always give crap reasons to press down ur price. like, oh 135 is 3L road tax high difficult to sell. oh, 135 2 doors not popular with family. fug em!

got this gear knob too. There is a slight problem with this installation (unless it was installed wrongly).

When the car is stationary, you have to step on the brake to engage R, but I find that while car is moving, I can easily push from D to N to R without having to step on the brakes.....that seems scary. Anyone else has this problem?

i am assuming its becasue the M knob does not have a lock switch like the regular gear knobs

what will happen if while driving...u accidentally knock the gear and it went to R ?? is there some fail safe mechanism or something that will ignore R gear while in high speed?
