135i COUPE 6-SP MANUAL FROM PML

guys, gals and fellow bm-freakies,

like to clarify after hearing from fellow-forum friends and others that the 135i coupe with 6-sp is not available yet. well, ITS NOW AVAILABLE FROM PML WITH A FULLY MANUAL 6-SPEED GEARBOX and other options on an indent basis.

I HAVE MADE MY BOOKING SINCE 16MAY, PAID MY INDENT DEPOSIT AND GOT MY LOAN APPROVED THIS WEEK! heard that i was the first to book it through them.

if you have anyone telling you otherwise, you may contact PML SA john (hp9851-8893) who was constantly hounded by me since 2weeks ago after i test drove the 335i and 130i. he was patient and provided daily feedback after being bugged by me to chase for prices on the 6-sp manual version with sunroof.

wah!!!!! twin-turbo in a lightweight and small package!!!!! ultimate sequel after the dismantling and disposal of my e46monster last april. was waiting for the latest m3 and bought a VW GTi to stem the urges and had the JUZZ (amos, billy, seetoh and guys) modded it to 265bhp and over 420nm at the wheels.

anyhow, the guys at JUZZ are equally excited as i am and we are all anxiously waiting for its arrival this sept. we are preparing the mods for the e46monster sequel - 135i monster!

so, don't be fooled or misled that there's no info or still unavailable cos' ITS AVAILABLE WITH ALMOST ANY OPTIONS YOU WISH FOR!

sorry for late reply as i just got back from shanghai and too busy running about to even look into my work e-mail as well.

like to thank you all for your best wishes and will be pleased to have a chat if you stop me when you see the car on the road. however, expected eta will be end sept or beginning nov 2008.

after which the car will be at JUZZ for total makeover to stage 2.

price is SGD179,500 less SGD6k for the 6-sp manual version and if you confirm and make the initial booking fee of SGD26,050 (required for indent cars), you may catch the july production.

dear cooper and 4s,

yes, the sunroof is an option that you may decide to have or not. there are other options that you could choose as well eg. the auto climate control, etc.

yes, you are right about the waiting part. that's a killer feeling and itch all over. worse is i just test-driven an ang-moh colleague's 135i convertible in interlaken (switzerland) on the tight b-roads and DROOL! 2-gear at 2500rpm running about 38-42kmh behind 2cars when the road cleared slightly with slight throttle it just launches like when you take-off on the runway. and, it corners on rails even with stock suspension.

anyhow, the gti should help be of some relief until then.

bros,

let's contact each other when your cars arrive in case you are looking at mods. have already discussed with j4c (who are max mod my gti) on what will be done when the 135i arrives. best is to go manual if you intend to go beyond 370bhp for the 135i (or above stage1). learnt my lessons from e36 and e46 in which we were forced to convert both to manual when the auto boxes died.

the gti-dsg box is rated to handle max 320bhp which is a BIG SHAME! the dbilas turbo setup was designed to go 350bhp. but, we were forced to limit to around 320bhp else, tranny failure.

if you intend you 135i to go above stage2-bout 400+bhp, then, manual is the best. the previous monster - e46 with 3.0litre tranny/torque converter/hayden tranny cooler only lasted about 6mths before losing both 1s & 2nd gears.

j4c have arquay 4-tips titanium full system exhaust with downpipe, forge blow-off, forged intercooler, piped intake (like the neuspeed for the gti), larger injectors and ride-on programme for the 135i. not sure whether to lighten the crank and re-profile webs (that will improve hydro-dynamics in the crankcase, lighten internal weight and resistance for quick revs and hence, turbo spool-up) = more bhp + torque.

you may like to look at 19s rims (stock is 18x45x215 fronts and 18x245x35 rears) and go, 19x235x35 fronts and 19x255/265x30rears. that will ensure traction when launching.

Monster.. Met up your S/A John.. Nice guy. We were talking abt you when you called. haha.. Incidentally. Am also driving a GTI now. Checked out pricing as well as a drive in the 335 just for feel of engine. Self spec is poisonous!

errr 135i is lighter than 335i big brother by about 40-50kgs nia...ai race mai?

Congrats! That'll be quite a monster...watch out for the tranny, it's gonna crush 1st and 2nd in no time when juiced up.

just wondering.. i know the manual trans can prob handle most power than the Auto ones..
are there any higher rated clutch options for the 135i manual box? if not, it only means stock clutch replacement will be very frequent..
