100 pt check up @ PML for 2nd hand cars - Required?

I think it is cheaper and faster to ask for the service records and then go to a reliable mechanic u know and who knows BMWs to check the car thoroughly. The last I checked, the 100pt check can only be done at Kampong Arang and will take 3 days and costs more than $300 bucks. Not worth it in my opinion.

Any recommendations for good BMW mechanics? Someone who can give the car a twiceover and let me know it's condition? Many thanks..

The kampong arang branch is now solely selling Mini. Tho' I'm not sure if they do BMW servicing..

Haha, the last I checked on Kampong Arng was almost a yr ago. Sorry for the outdated news. I got BVO to check my car for me. Much depends on whether seller agrees to let u do it as well.

my 2 cents worth....

if the car is still under warranty - spend the money to get it thoroughly checked.....if there is any thing wrong - insist that they fix it under the warranty ( you may have to wrangle your way thru between what is normal wear and tear and items that are covered under the warranty )

however - after PML did it - strongly recommend that you insist that they hoist up the car and let you inspect the undercarriage.

I did the above and was thoroughly shocked that oil was leaking from the final drive - that PML did not make good.

Kp Arang outlet does service BMWs despite selling minis only.

Triple M : agreed. found out today tt kampong arang services bmws as well. despite it being a mini showroom now, there are plans underway to convert half of it to sell bmws.

Mystic, that's a good plan. Very feasible. So i gotta find a car that's approaching 3 years.

There's $7k off list price the cabriolets now. so the 325 is $212k.
