Yes, it is a little long. And would have liked a more mechanical feel/click to it.

Wonder if there are aftermarket short shifters.

Short shift is available and can feel the difference immediately after installing it... great car, and even better after installing the short shifters... someone should take the last unit...

I dont think it wld matter if u buy from Munich. The IM in stock form is good enough and you have 5 years of warranty.

just wondering if any of the modded 135/ 335i owners (eg. kenntona, andre) have tried out the new 1M and what's their thoughts on the car ?

would a juiced/proceed N54 335i with M3 suspension components and a well tuned coilover system handle as good and make even more power than a stock 1M ?

i like the looks, feel and drive of the 1M and I agree that the car is indeed very chuckable without being overtly stiff.
Yet jumping back into the 335i, i cannot help notice that besides the forgotten thrill of swapping gears manually, its 80% - 85% close to the //M experience.


Bottom line for me : Big difference between stock 1M and stock 135/335 but when comparing to modded 135/335, the difference can be narrowed by an abudence of aftermarket parts.

However, an M is always an M, go for it if budget allows !
