e70 x5 3.0si no fuel filter

hi... i recently bought a E70 X5 3.0si 2008 model. it started cutting off and now wont start at all. from the diagnostics it refers to the fuel filter. only problem after watching numerous videos of where the fuel filter could be, nut to no avail we have not been able to locate it?!?! no where...
