Re: My F30 issues
Hmm... Sounds like it could really be that the refrigerant is too low. The system cools one side first then channel the refrigerant to cool the other.
Re: My F30 issues
Just to be sure we are on the same page. There is a button near the right side of the aircon control panel. This sets the air intake to either A, M or 'off'. I normally set this to M to force recirculation mode. Separately, there is a round knob on the left of the panel...
Re: My F30 issues
Is it because it is set to Auto? The Auto function will vary the air distribution and fan speed to achieve the desired temperature. Turn off Auto and set the air intake to M to see if problem recurs.
Re: My F30 issues
In my case, I coded it to default to 'M' to avoid all the hassle when starting the car. In 'M' mode the air is recirculated thru the cabin air filter.
Re: F30 320i stalled after ASS kicked in.
ASS is a pain. Very distracting when the engine restarts. Aircon is also not cold when the engine is turned off.
Re: Is it normal to feel a bit vibration when idling for F30?
Precisely! I would think the that F30 320i should be very refined. It would seem that there are quality issues with my car. :-(
Re: Is it normal to feel a bit vibration when idling for F30?
Ha! Ha! Ha! Hopefully, I get the better half when I drop in to let them check the problem again next week.
Re: Is it normal to feel a bit vibration when idling for F30?
Thanks for all your replies, insights and helpful suggestions. Really grateful to the experts here in the forum.
To the earlier question, yes, it does vibrate more in reverse. Thanks!
Re: Is it normal to feel a bit vibration when idling for F30?
Thanks for the tip! Will ask them to do so. Bringing the car next week for them to check. Will keep everyone updated.
Re: Is it normal to feel a bit vibration when idling for F30?
Very disappointing for a BMW right? The PML technicians seems unable to do anything about it. In fact, the technician who attended to me claims all the 1 and 3 Series have this issue. Frankly, I was quite shocked to hear that. He...
Re: Is it normal to feel a bit vibration when idling for F30?
Thanks very much. Will do so. The service advisor assigned to me seems quite new. The last time I brought it in, they did a software update. However, the problem still remains. It fact, it seems slightly worse. Which of the PML...
Re: F30 through heavy downpour
I am wondering if the engine vibration is due to the lower air temperature. Yesterday, I was in a downpour and caught in a jam. I noticed my engine was idling much more roughly than normal. My engine is a N20. Has anyone here encountered the same issue? Thanks!
Re: Is it normal to feel a bit vibration when idling for F30?
Regarding the vibration at idle issue. Was it eventually sorted out? I have a new 320i and I am experiencing this issue. It gets worse when the temperature is low or when it is raining. PML claims it is normal for the F30. However...
