1. When the engine is off - the engine oil would flow back into the oil sump at the bottom of the engine.
2. Yes - The oil pressure is measured via another sensor.

It's been 2 years and it's still happening.
First 6 months this year alone - at least 5 accidents that I know of. Lost count but I estimate around 30 accidents in the last 4 years.
Just 5 mins ago - 1 smacked into the wall and the ride behind had no where to go while the car in front was...
Checked the alternator excitation and target setpoint values ?
Reset accordingly based on which bus user is triggering the ASS off condition.
Clear the histograms for good measure ...
Noob at these things but IIRC for item 3 should use the variance between highest and lowest reading as a gauge. And that is only for testing the piston ring. If cylinder reading very low then pour some oil inside then measure again. All that for piston ring wear.
For valves - can use the leak...
IMHO - Get with the end links better .... The adjustable end links is important for zero-ing out pre tension on the ARB. Remember to set it correctly - every ride is slightly different.
And GC is known for their ARB end links.....
The msv90 Dme (guessing it's an N52N engine - F10 523i ?) does have problems. Usual symptoms - unable to measure the oil level, unable to reset the servicing interval - fault codes would be related to the BSD interface. The DME would still function fine for driving. Most owners would just rather...
If you have a chance to look into the logic of the DME - spark dwell is very dependent on the voltage level being that it's one of the axis used in that table.
The higher the voltage - the shorter the time for spark dwelling.
Spark dwell correlation to spark plug performance ... The more...
