Hi all out there. I am driving an e46 330i Coupe. Currently the tires are Bridgestones RE 040x and as they are wearing out, I'll need to change them. The sizes are:
Front 225 40 ZR18
Rear 255 35 ZR18
I called Chin Wah and they don't have any tires with these sizes in stock other than...
Re: 330i or 320cic
330 of course. I did not get a soft top because I think after about 6 to 12 months the soft top will get a bit old. Try driving the cabriolet when it is very hot or when it is raining and then you will know if it poses a problem in terms of heat, visibility and noise...
Re: Alternative Paddle Shift
Actually I don't think I need to drill any holes. I just checked my steering wheel and there seems to be two holes sitting high up on the back of the steering wheel and it seems to be plugged up with some sort of silicon. If the holes are there, I guess I can...
Re: Alternative Paddle Shift
I have not checked to see if there are any holes on the back of my steering wheel to accomodate the paddles. If I have drill holes, I will definitely KIV it until the warranty is over. Thanks for all the info.
Re: Alternative Paddle Shift
Thanks for all your responses. I have M-Steering on my E46 but no paddles. Does it mean I have to get a new steering wheel too?
Re: Alternative Paddle Shift
Pardon my ignorance but do you need to do anything special to install the paddles? If my car currently do not have the paddles, can I just install them or do I need to do something else to it to install them?
Re: Leather Seat Cleaner
I use the one from 3M and it is pretty good. It comes with a few "flavours" and I get the one w/o any scent. I cannot remember what is called exactly but it is something like leather and upholstery cleaner. You can get it from Handifix for about $14. It is much...
Re: E46 Coupe and Cabriolet (Sports Edition)
Thanks for the info. It will be fun to have the vario roof but it will also mean more $ and a heavier car. Hmm, if that is the case, I think I will look at the Z4s again.
Re: E46 Coupe and Cabriolet (Sports Edition)
I just had a quick look and it did come with some M type rims but I am not too sure which. It had sports seats, the M type (I think they are 18 inches) rims, bigger tyres, front and rear spoilers. That is all I remember. Drool, drool...
Re: E46 Coupe and Cabriolet (Sports Edition)
I saw the 330 Ci at the Alexandra showroom and it looked really nice. I am shopping for the E46 coupe and was told I can get the non sports edition for about $195k but the MY is 11/03. It looked okay but nothing compared to the one in the showroon.
Thanks. $1250 sounds very expensive and mine is definitely no longer under warranty :(
After sending the post, the lights went away and has not come back on since. If it does, I will check with BVO to see how much they charge.
I think it might be the sensors or the electrical system...
I am of "normal" proportions so that should not be the problem. I will really need to test the car out more as I just spent about 15 minutes the last time.
My e39 (1996 528i) also just started to show the warning lights a couple of days ago but it went away last night and so far it hasn't reappeard. Viceroy666, have you gone to PML? Can you share with me what they quoted you?
Rodders, I know I need to exercise and I have been telling myself that for the past 9 years. I am still telling myself :) Of course there is the usual bunch of excuses such as no time, too much work, too tired and etc.
Gwumpkus I am shooting recurve. Just started in October so I...
Thanks all for the welcome.
Hey Rodders, sad to say, not any more. Used to play rugby and did a lot of mountain biking but have been leading a sedentary life since I had a knee surgery about 9 years ago :( . Besides watching sports on tv, I am also doing archery :laughlik:
Hey...
Hi all, I am new to the forum. I drive a 7-year old 528 :| . Getting the 7-year itch and am looking at a Z4 :) . Any 6 footers out there driving a Z4? Would appreciate it if you can let me know how well you fit in the car. I sat in one today and it felt a bit low with quite a few blind...
