New Photos of the 2021 ALPINA D3S Sedan and Touring

The design of this iteration of the ALPINA D3S makes it particularly a good counterpart to the BMW M3. Based on the M3’s divisive design concept, the ALPINA versions appear to be distinct. The D3S comes with the typical 3 Series grille and its ALPINA’s diesel version of the BMW 3 Series/M3. As a result, it looks incredible than the BMW M3.

ALPINA D3S

In these new photos, the ALPINA D3S Sedan and Touring both looked extraordinary. The green Touring stands out with its contrasting brown leather interior that adds to its appeal. Therefore, the ALPINA D3S is the most ideal 3 Series variation of them all.

A 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged inline-six diesel engine powers the D3S. It produces 355 horsepower and 538 lb-ft of torque under the hood. However, it has a lot more torque than the M3 with 479 lb-ft. Furthermore, with 503 horsepower, the D3S has less horsepower than the M3. Taking 4.6 seconds to reach 62 mph, the D3S is still much slower. Despite that, it also includes BMW’s 48-volt mild-hybrid technology. This mild-hybrid technology allows the engine to run faster while providing a little horsepower when accelerating hard.

ALPINA also tweaked the suspension, steering, and transmission to make it quicker and more exciting to drive. But the D3S is also more comfortable even though it may not be as sharp or thrilling as a genuine BMW M3. If you choose the Touring version, it’s a better all-around daily driver than an M3 if you factor in its diesel efficiency. With a limited number of units, the ALPINA D3S is entirely exclusive. You’ll have a unique car that’s simpler to live with than the M3 if you’re one of the lucky owners.
