Just how important are kidney grilles to a BMW vehicle? Based on a test rendering done by Theophilus Chin, it appears that this single small element has a major impact on the design. From the looks of the 16 current models without the grille, they look like knock-offs and far from the real thing. Turns out that the kidney grille is an iconic element of BMW design for a reason.
