While BMW’s ConnectedDrive technology uses the built-in Edge connection in selected BMW vehicles, MINI Connected technology uses the 3G data from the iPhone to power a wide range of features. Rumor has it that this same technology might make its way to BMW cars in the future. Here is a video of MINI Connected Senior Engineer Robert Passaro explaining the new options at the recent press launch of the 2011 MINI range. Each feature and the background on the technology is explained.
