BMW rumored to have registered “BMW i” as the sub-brand for Project i

Germancarforum is the source of the interesting rumor of the day: BMW has filled for a trademark and logo for the upcoming Project i vehicles. According to one of their forum members, the name for the upcoming vehicles under Project i will be “BMW i”. As of the moment, this remains to be a speculation as no sufficient evidence has been presented to prove this. BMW did not issue a statement about this as well.

The vehicles that are developed under the Project i umbrella are considered as the next premium automobiles. They will be built with eco-friendliness in mind. Sustainable mobility will be evident from the supplies, components, production process, to recycling. BMW’s Chief Designer Adrian Van Hooydonk previously gave some insight into BMW’s future strategy and electric mobility. BMW intends to become the world’s leader in premium electric vehicles.
