BMW M550d to deliver 381 hp from tri-turbo engine

BMW Netherlands have revealed the power figures of the rumored M550d model. According to the dealer presentation held there, the tri-turbo six-cylinder diesel will deliver 381 horsepower and over 700 Nm of torque (516 lb-ft). Top speed is limited to 155 mph (250 km/h). The engine will first be used in the BMW M550d, but will also be utilized for the X5 and X6 models. This super diesel 5 Series model will start production in March 2012.
