BMW i7: New EV Spy Photos with Camo

A surge of EVs are coming in lately in the news. For example, Audi showcased their Q4 e-tron, and Nissan released their Ariya. Further, BMW revealed the iX3 this week. And now spy photos of the upcoming BMW i7 have been seen. Though not yet an official release, this new BMW EV is expected to be phenomenal.

There’s not a lot to see with the exterior of the car based on these photos. This is because of the camouflage wrapping. Significantly, it looks like one of the BMW sedans on the 7 series. Nevertheless, amusing details are spied on a closer look.

For example, the absence of any exhaust pipes means it is fully an EV in nature. Likewise, it has “Electric Test Vehicle” stickers on its sides. But then, these stickers are also used for plug-in hybrids. Regardless though, the fact that there are no exhaust pipes really means it is a full-EV. However, if BMW was able to design a fake exhaust system, then it would be a great reveal. Nonetheless, the closed-off kidney grille may really indicate that the BMW i7 is a fully electric car.

The small cameras curved out on the exterior are interesting features. These may suggest that it has semi-autonomous driver assistance. Therefore, the BMW i7 could be the first Bimmer with a semi-autonomous system.

On the other hand, engine specs of this new electric Bimmer are still unknown. Nevertheless, rumors said it has at least 650 bhp. If this is true, the new EV will lead the 7 Series. And will also replace the BMW M760i as the frontline of the series. Certainly, these are not blind guesses as BMW has what it takes to create such power. For example, the demo of the BMW Power BEV showed an impressive 711 bhp.

Most importantly, rumor noted that the BMW i7 targets to drive 400 miles. And this is certainly what the BMW i7 needs to lead the competition of EVs when it launches in 2022.
