We think it’s finally time for the new 2018 BMW X3, don’t you? The current one has been in production for six years now and it slowly starts to get old. True, it’s a great car, but the technology develops so quickly that it will soon be run over by the competition. All this is still applicable even after the facelift it received in 2014.
Even though the name says ‘2018’, the new X3 will likely be unveiled at the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show. The car will be built on the same architecture used on the new 5 Series and 7 Series – CLAR (Cluster Architecture). Practically, this means it will weigh less than the current model, use fuel more efficiently and have lower emissions.
2.0-liter and 3.0-liter engines will be the options and there is even a possibility of the BMW X3 M becoming a reality, along with the M version of X4 M.
