The BMW X7 has been a real buzz in the recent months. It started with the spy shots, and now there is a rumor that we’re about to get a hybrid version of this model.
As Autocar UK reports, BMW is likely to offer the X7 with a plug-in hybrid powertrain, along with the conventional engines. It will be similar to the one in the current 740e – a 2.0-liter TwinPower turbo 4-cylinder with 225 HP. This engine will be combined with and eDrive electric motor of 111 HP and a twin-scroll turbocharged with variable valve control.
Total power the new car will be able to produce is 322 HP.
Unfortunately, the seven-seat X7 will be made for specific markets only – US, Chinese, and British.
