[Spy Photos] Upcoming F40 BMW 1 Series

Yesterday we saw the upcoming G20 BMW 3 Series testing in Spain, and today we’re sharing some spy photos from another exciting upcoming model – the F40 BMW 1 Series. The future 1 Series will undergo an amazing evolution and become a true new-gen compact BMW which uses the UKL platform. The new 1ers will ditch the front longitudinal engine and replace it with front transverse engines – a simpler and less expensive option.

This means that the car will have more space, especially in the rear. The trunk capacity will be significantly improved. The overall look will change due to these upgrades, so it will be a slightly bigger car with similar dimensions to same-segment cars from other brands, such as the Volkswagen Golf.
