A new video of the new BMW X3 showcases it driving on track and off-road. Autogefuhl gets a ride along on both courses with BMW instructors and here we can actually see how capable the vehicle is.
On track, the instructor drives the BMW X3 M40i and pushes it to it’s limit. It shows a sharp turn-in for an SUV, and surprisingly does a good job at corners, which is impressive for a pretty tall SUV. The engine, B58 3.0 liter turbocharged I6, is just brilliant. It delivers 355 hp and 369 lb-ft of torque, and reaches 0-60 mph takes 4.6 seconds. It also sounds really really good!
The BMW X3 surprises us even more on the off-road course. The one they used for this drive is the BMW X3 xDrive30d. It drives on uneven terrain, steep hills, uneven hills, without even breaking a sweat.
