[Video] BMW X3 vs Audi Q5 and Volvo XC60 in an off-road show

SUVs are for off-road tracks, going off from smooth asphalt roads. Because the SUV body type is for this reason, many use it for personal interest these days. SUVs used to serve a necessity more than following a trend. In this article, we check how modern SUVs perform on rough terrain. Will they still perform well even when away from public roads?

The guys at Carwow set out to discover how these modern SUVs survive rocky roads. BMW X3, Audi Q5, and Volvo XC60 star in the off-road show video. One reason is that they are three of the most famous SUVs globally. To be honest, the tests set for them are not totally rigorous as riders know they are non off-roader. Overcoming steepy and muddy climbs is not totally rigorous as it’s like completing simple tasks.

In this video, there’s a  different approach on this test, far from the usual speed test or drag race. The BMW X3 outperformed Audi Q5 and Volvo XC60 during the first round, but only by a small margin. The three modern SUVs underwent a higher-level challenge, following other tests, having a few other obstacles.

Mat drove BMW X3 and it has won in the first two challenges. It is said that there could be some driver-factor that has affected the performance. To make things even, the guys exchanged cars. No spilling of tea in the next sentences, but know that BMW was the only hybrid among the three. This may help save the trees, but it also makes BMW X3 the heaviest car on the circuit. Also, not to mention it is with the lowest ground clearance. Do you think it can sustain its performance? Find out in the video!
