[Video] G05 BMW X5 goes out for an Off-Road Test

With a couple of distinct setups, the G05 BMW X5 made its debut back in 2017. And with this venture, BMW has finally stopped following through both facets of the SUV quest. A sporty and functional off-road was no longer the target for creating a BMW X5. As a result, an X5 owner can now configure it depending on their preference. A good example would be creating a more distinct setup for its suspension.

Going for the M Sport package, along with its dynamic anti-roll bars and other cutting-edge features, can be possible if you desire an SUV that gives a good driving experience. Additionally, raising the ride height of your BMW X5 with its different driving modes to meet the toughest terrains is also possible with its adjustable air suspension.

But in spite of these new options, going on tricky terrains around a desert is a very rare reason to buy an X5. Traveling the busy city streets or adorning the mall parking lots are the frequent tasks of these cars. The Range Rover, one of its rivals, also shows the same role as part of the same line segment. As a result, the video above can be found useless especially when you’ll buy one of those for the city and laid back journeys only.

Even so, we still get to see an intense comparison of these all-wheel drive systems. Lexus RX stands out the most in the video, while some performed really badly such as the Volvo XC90. Struggling to reach the tough terrains was also a bit challenging for the BMW X5.

The most interesting part, though, is the considerable and better performance of the BMW X6. It can also be possible that these cars’ performance depends on their drivers.
