Look: BMW X2 M Mesh Edition At BMW Welt As Plug-In Hybrid

Two years ago, BMW unveiled the M Mesh Edition vehicle, which featured a kidney grille with a mesh pattern and a Brooklyn Grey paint finish exclusive to the model. BMW tries to spice up the X2 by giving its compact coupé SUV a special edition. Most of the time, these are just aesthetic tweaks to spruce up the compact crossover and entice purchasers. Alternatively, Alpine White, Phytonic Blue metallic, and Sunset Orange colours were also available for the vehicle.

In Brooklyn Grey, BMW Welt is now showcasing the X2 M Mesh Edition with a plug-in hybrid drive. The orange decals on the side and bonnet of the crossover make it stand out from the others. These stickers can be black or removed depending on the car’s colour. The same bright-toned 20-inch M light-alloy wheels are 19 inches wide.

BMW has given the X2 Mesh Edition a metallic paint finish in Frozen Black Brown for the side body panels and the region around the lower air intake of the front bumper in Frozen Black Brown. The high-gloss black rim of the roundel on the tailgate, which harmonises with the dark exhaust tip, is a less visible visual modification. This limited-edition model of the X2 was not available only with a PHEV engine. Two petrol and three diesel engines were available, but not the M35i.

The GoldPlay Edition of the X2 M Mesh Edition, which had a mesh grille and a few cosmetic tweaks, was released earlier this year. A second-generation BMW X2 seems inevitable with the arrival of the new X1/iX1 and the iX1. The all-electric iX2 is expected to go into production in November 2023, ahead of schedule.
