BMW M4 GTS Shows 492 HP on a Dyno Test

We’ve waited enough to see the BMW M4 GTS on a Dynojet tester and now the results are finally here, though they are not quite as good as expected.

In the video above, you can see a BMW M4 GTS on a dyno test that measures the power figures in order to see if the manufacturer’s claims are true. While the BMW says that the M4 GTS is making 500 HP, the testing showed ‘only’ 492 HP.

Since there are several factors that can affect the final result, a compared testing with a standard M4 is planned.

To remind you, BMW M4 GTS uses a 3.0-liter inline-6 engine and a seven-speed double clutch transmission. It goes from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.7 seconds with the top speed of 305 km/h.

Considering the transmission loss of 12%, it’s expected for the BMW M4 GTS to have around 433 HP at the wheels. This is still more than the standard M4 offers and makes up for a high-performance car both on the track and on the roads.
