BMW factory driver Martin Tomczyk demonstartes the new BMW M2 Launch Control while in Ascari, Spain. This is an important demonstration because it helps us understand the capabilities of the all-new BMW M2 Competition. While the driving impressions are still under embargo until July 30th, Tomczyk gives us this short but sweet teaster along with a quick 0 to 200 km/h speed run. The video hints some change in the exhaust mechanism. Other changes include a new twin-turbo, 3.0-liter straight-six making 405 horsepower and 406 pound-feet of torque. As a result, the sprint to 62 mph comes in 4.0 – 4.2 seconds. The M2 Competition can reach a top speed of 155 mph, limited electronically. With a M Driver’s package, however, it can launch up to 174 mph.
