BMW XM 50e’s Stunning Base Look Costs €132,400

BMW’s sleek XM is set to include a six-cylinder 50e variant, designed to cut costs and dodge taxes on big engines. Recently, the German configurator added this entry-level model. It starts at a substantial €132,400.

Despite its high cost, the XM 50e undercuts the top-tier XM Label by a whopping €70,600 and the mid-level XM by €45,600. In Germany, the V8 models start at €178,000 and €203,000, respectively. This makes the XM 50e the most cost-effective option, though “cost-effective” is used somewhat generously.

You’re not confined to the Mineral White paint, as there are no-cost options like M Marina Blue Bay, Cape York Green, and M Carbon Black. This also includes M Isle Of Man, M Toronto Red, and Sapphire Black. The bold M Sao Paulo Yellow is also free, showcased in official images. For this luxurious sports vehicle, the base wheel size is 21 inches (918 M type), but opting for a 23-inch set with gold accents could add up to €3,060.

Inside the 2024 BMW XM 50e available in Germany, carbon fibre trim and Individual Merino leather come standard. A maxed-out XM 50e hits €144,000 for the six-cylinder model with all optional luxuries. However, this inline-six variant isn’t sold in the United States.

The high-priced 50e isn’t the only talking point about the XM. Interestingly, the standard V8 XM’s price exceeds the X5 M Competition by €13,300. This extra cost is justified for some as it swaps the hybrid setup for a pure V8 engine.
