2025 BMW M4 GT3 EVO Tests at Spa with M Hybrid V8

This week, BMW M Motorsport unveiled the electrifying M Hybrid V8 at Belgium’s Spa-Francorchamps, all set for the 2024 FIA World Endurance Championship. Remember the G82-based M4 GT3 EVO launched in 2021? It’s the evolved version, and both dazzled on the same track.

Eight elite drivers took the wheel of these beasts. Nick Yelloly, René Rast, Marco Wittmann, Robin Frijns, and Maxime Martin commanded the sleek, carbon-black M Hybrid V8. Meanwhile, Augusto Farfus, Jens Klingmann, and Bruno Spengler tested the M4 GT3 EVO, gearing up for its 2025 race debut.

In the coming months of 2023 and into 2024, BMW M Motorsport will test the M4 GT3 EVO at multiple venues. Their racing division hints at refining vehicle features, boosting component reliability, bettering team handling, and enhancing drivability. From the photos on a damp track, the M4 GT3 EVO hides tweaks to its front and rear bumpers under camouflage. Likely, they’re refining cooling and aerodynamics. The camouflaged side mirrors suggest a design shift, probably for better ventilation.

Besides the M4 GT3 and M Hybrid, BMW M Motorsport boasts race cars like the M4 GT4 and M2 CS Racing. The latter draws inspiration from the first-generation M2. Track-focused models, such as the M4 CSL and upcoming M4 CS, gain insights from these racing ventures.

Moreover, while its engine differs, the M division taps into the hybrid expertise gained from the M Hybrid V8’s development.
