Here is a 3D manipulation of the BMW Vision EfficientDynamics which enhances some of the qualities of the Vision Concept. The interior and exterior design layering, the aerodynamic lines, and the air curtain are all emphasized.

The Vision Concept made its debut in 2009 at the Frankfurt Motor Show and is now scheduled for production in 2013 at the Leipzig plant. Sources say that the car is already being tested with fully operative drivetrain that uses a three-cylinder diesel engine and two electric motors.

BMW assures that the end product will be  light, efficient, and fast.

The initial VED production car will be powered by a combustion engine, followed by a hybrid version. Production will be limited to 5,000 and 10,000 units.
