Re: Vorsteiner Sponsorship Programme

The Vorsteiner bonnet I have purchased was delivered after almost 6 months after I'd made payment in February 2006. The first piece that was delivered did not fit the fenders, and Mike (Sim Wee Chuan) had to adjust the fenders to fit the bonnet's width. Still, its curvature was not flushed with the shape - it budged too much in the middle. Vorsteiner sent me a replacement piece in late 2006. I would wanna compliment Vorsteiner for the goodwill. The second piece fits the width - fenders adjusted back to original positions. However, the budge is even more obvious - especially with time. It appeared that the material warped from the heat from the engine bay. Now the replacement piece looks worse than the first. You can actually see the gap between the bonnet and my fenders on my signature. The line is simply too thick. I went through the same experience with fellow forumer ChickenBackSide, who had a replacement to a warped piece as well. However, the replacement piece fits so much better on his ride now..... and he lamented on the quality of my replacement piece. I was so disappointed with the inconsistency of the bonnets. To be fair to Vorsteiner, the bonnet fits perfectly on some rides - like Blackstealth's and Mok's. Of course, TripleM's and RaptureM3's Ms are perfect fit as well. The feedback of these quality issues was given to Barry "rex7_vtec" recently. I'd think he is currently liaising with Vorsteiner on the quality issues...... Cannot afford to take a third disappointment after all the hype and expectations. Meanwhile, I am still waiting for an answer from Vorsteiner via Barry......

I also think so too. Furthermore, my ride is quite stock at the moment. Should be able to bring out the before and after effect. Also this is a chance for them to prove their worth since quite a few of you have been disappointed so far. Quote:
Looks like it. But if that is the case, they will have a very small market here.

Re: Vorsteiner Sponsorship Programme
Yes, the bonnets are indeed modelled after the E46 M3 when the VRS Hood initially came out.
We have ventured ways and means into improving the quality of our products with each and every product sold. In this case, the VRS Hood. As such we have actually produced a new version of the VRS Hood for the regular 3 series. This bonnet is designed specifically to fit both facelift and pre-facelift variants of the coupe and cabriolet. With this being said, customers will still have the preference of choosing either designs when making their purchase. Barry is working hard with us on this matter and we will have a solution for Kenntona very soon. Attached together with this post are pictures of the VRS Hood made specifically for the regular 3 series. There will be no adjustments needed, of course depending on the condition of the vehicle ( been in a collision before either on the front or sides). We thank you very much for all your kind feedbacks and most definitely look forward to being of service to you.
