All you need to know about BRAKES

Noticed that there's a lot of discussion in the forum lately about brakes, pads, rotors, etc. etc.

And there's also a lot of misinformation going around, from what causes squealing, brake wear, brake bias, etc. etc.

For folks who are interested in finding out more, pls visit this and take a read. It's been posted before in this forum, but thought it might be helpful to the newbies here...

    http://www.stoptech.com/tech_info/te...e_papers.shtml

It may be quite technical, but skim through the techy bits and retain the general principles.

    I found it extremely helpful.

    Hope you feel the same.

There's no shortcut - if you want to know your car better, it's better to curious and find out, rather than depend on hearsay...

That way, you know how your car works, and will be able to enjoy car ownership better, spend less, and drive better...

    Enjoy!

Not bad, at least you spelt BRAKES correctly. Too often I read BREAKS in this and other car forums.

I read thru all these wen I got my Stoptech on my previous ride. Its only through such fine literature that you realised 'warped rotors' are infact a pretty rare phenomenon

Got anything on offset to share?
