Re: Run-Flats ? Repair or Change

Jase,
Mine does not come with the spare tire as well. You can always buy things like that Airman that can pump + seal tyre in the case of a puncture.

This is safe and very safe. Some of the Merc model does not come with spare tire as well and they also dont use RF because of such similar pump.

I'm not aware of the slipping problem though - this sounds quite nasty. My RFTs have quite good grip on carpark surfaces but then again, I've not tried it when it's wet etc.

Re: Run-Flats ? Repair or Change

Cool, thanks eldwin. That sounds like a more viable and cheaper alternative.

I'll examine the option when my RFTs need to be changed. For the moment, they're very new so no problems.

Re: Run-Flats ? Repair or Change

I had a puncture on my 523 and PML said to change the whole tire. I refused and got it patched at Stamford Tyre for $6. That lasted well until the tire botak and I just switched to 4 continental normal tires. Now the ride is far more comfortable. Can anyone suggest where I can buy a spray can thingy to fill up the air in the event I kenna puncture again? I dread having a spare tire in the boot.

Question Re: Run-Flats ? Repair or Change

I read from a website that changing to normal from RFTs is not ideal as manufacturers incorporate this into the design of their suspensions.

Will this spoil the suspension?

Hmm yeah I heard bout this as well, Im not too sure whether it would spoil the suspension anot but I do know that the suspension is a wear and tear item, it would break down sooner than it was initially designed for I guess but I wish it would break down faster so I can change to Bilstein or Koni FSD Shocks to couple with my current Eibach Springs. heehee No issues one bro.

Re: Run-Flats ? Repair or Change

Is about time to change my PS2. I heard Goodyear or Bridgestone are better and cheaper too. What about CS2? Can anyone advise me? And where should I go to purchase? Mine is 18" stragged. Thanks.
