BMW using run flat Bridgestone tyre ... and Not Continental tyre ??

Hi , I am new here . Currently I am driving a 320i - E90 model . I have some doubt about the car tyre ( Bridgestone - run flat tyre ) which it came along when I buy new directly from PML last year . I am feeling some type of being unfair to me getting a Bridgestone tyre . I was shocked to receive the car using the Bridgestone instead of the Continental Tyre which it usually BMW used for all their car . During their promotion they advertise the car and the Showroom they have the tyre fitted with the continental tyre . During my collection of the Car I did not noticed the Brand and when I noticed it that is only the next day when I try to shine the tyre only then I realised it . When I ask the sales lady that sold me the car she told me that the shipment came with dfferent tyre . At that time I cannot say anything because it was my mistake that I did not check on the tyre thinking that BMW usually using Continental tyre . Ever since this case happen I have been checking all the new car to see if they do fix with the Bridgestone tyre .. Non I can see them in the parking lot .. Can anyone suggest what I should do ?? What I see is not what I am getting ... !! I have been feeling uneven for the past 10months from the date I purchased the car ..End June 2006 .!!.......... ! Or is there any direct email that I should contact them ..... !!! Thank you ..!

As far as I remember, it's officially mentioned in one of the press releases that Bridgestone will supply the RFT to BMWs.

I havent visited much the PML showrm but so far I have never seen their Non-M cars fitted with Conti RFT.

Why are u disappointed? Bridgestone is a good tire. I'd rate it on par with Conti overall at slightly cheaper price or if not probably similar now.

yup, even the E92's come with Bridgestone. IMO, unless u switch to the non-RFTs, think really no diff whether its Conti or the other.

Some of the E90 bros here got Conti RFTs but they got the car earlier... Anyway for RFTs I think most of them choose to change their tyres to non-RFTs already. Some cars who changed their rims to 17" or 18" got upgraded to CSC II.

Hi , the run flat tyre will last for 200 Km below it gone totally flat . Yes , the new BM is using this type of tyre now . The car does not come with spare rim or tyre unlike most of the car . Are you driving the same car as mine ?? E90 - 320i ?? Are you living near to Killiney Orchard area ?? There is a tyre shop there that support BM tyre , but their price is much more expensive ..because of their location .

Hi Ricky, besides that Killiney Rd one (Chin Wah)...are there any other shops that sell BMW wheels for cheaper price?

Daniel
