Re: Need BMW regulars' information: BMW Z4 Coupe 3.0Si
i know it sounds silly, but if i got a yellow porsche, i'd always look at it and wonder why i didn't get the yellow brake calipers to go with that.... would the ceramics be within your budget or do the standard brakes come in yellow?
yellow body with red caliper looks.... erm, kinda Ronald McDonald-ish?

If you respray your car, it may affect the resale value and how "exportable" the car is. Just another quirk of the local used Porker market.
Apparently yellow is the safest colour you can have from a road safety perspective. The most visible to other drivers in low light situations. |

Re: Need BMW regulars' information: BMW Z4 Coupe 3.0Si
personally i think the $20K difference is not a small difference...especially considering that this works out to almost 10% of the total car price in the case of the PI cayman...if it were on say, a $500K car or more then it might be less tempting..but just make sure they are of the exact same specs...theoretically the 2K depreciation less a year could go to your servicing/maintenance/mod funds right?
of course you have to put up with the delayed/less VIP treatment from stuttgart i suppose..the question now is whether you are willing to accept that...beyond the warranty period i suppose you will be going to some of the established porsche workshops outside anyway |

Re: Need BMW regulars' information: BMW Z4 Coupe 3.0Si
I just did it.
Arrrrrrrrgh! i've been stressed out the last few days, never do work, because of this thing. Now I've resolved it. I want to share, not blow trumpet (but you can always say it lah, can't blame you!) I just bought my first Porsche, coming August. A yellow 6 speed manual Porsche Cayman 2.7L with PASM adaptative suspension. From Stuttgart. Now, I've crossed the line of imprudence and proved that a father can actually take food from his son's mouth to feed his desires. To tell the truth, it is the most stressful thing I've ever taken on, worse than extramarital affair if there was ever one. Last edited by centurion; 19-03-2007 at 04:31 PM. |
