BMW.SG Exclusive VOLTRONIC is now available

Hi everybody, R2D is proud to be able to carry the VOLTRONIC line of lubricants and chemicals. Presently, the various stocks for all the items are slowly coming in, but we now have the fuel injector cleaner, engine flush and engine protector.

If you like more info, please visit their website at VOLTRONIC - Lubricant, Additive, Coolant, Grease, Car Care and Chemical#

We are currently testing some of their products and we will only carry the ones that will give a clear performance advantage or cleaning capabilty.

Of course your favourite oil will still be available. We just wanted to bring in more variety.

Cheers

Re: VOLTRONIC is now available

The pre-lim results of our long term test are in. So far the VOLTRONIC synthetic oils are holding their own against TORCO SR-1. In terms of smoothness and revs, the oil is just as good as the SR-1 and there has been no oil loss after 3000km. Compared to the SR-5, the SR-5 is still smoother.

If you intend to find a cheaper oil then TORCO, VOLTRONIC is a viable alternative. The oils have been officially approved by both Mercedes and VAG for use in their petrol and diesel engines, so you can rest assured of the quality.

Anyway, we are extending an introductory offer to the first 10 users of VOLTRONIC. Call us to book an appointment.

Cheers

Re: VOLTRONIC is now available

i just got my motor oil changed to voltronic motor oil for my E92 325i with 6000km

big headache, whether Torco SR-1/ SR-5 or voltronic???! but eventually succumbed to voltronic motor oil. itchy since i'm already at the shop.

results, Yup there's a difference from o-gee-gee-nal bmw oil(whatever they're using) Voltronic's more responsive and throttles are lighter!! first gear doesn't feel like there's a parachute behind you when you accelerate. wifey also verified it !!

honestly, i haven't tried torco before, but my mission was to have the car drive smoother(accomplished) and use less fuel. sounds like an oxymoron but we'll see how this oil makes the difference. akan datang.

thanks to rod & nadia

volker II sparks, EBC green brakes and gim gim goot goot next

Re: VOLTRONIC is now available

Hi R2D,

My ride is 318i , year 2004, E46.

May I know the SAE of the Volt and Torco engine oil you have? You can leave the racing type out.

I have did an oil change using OWS 5W50 / 5W60 at BVO, but the engine seems heavy, less responsive (power shift). I read that the oil maybe thicker. I check my BMW long life oil bottle from PML, their is 0W30. It works well. Lot of power shift. But I add in before the next servicing because the engine oil is about 1/3 only, previous servicing done at PML. Power shift is also very good when the oil change at PML.

If you could advise on this. Appreciate..

Re: VOLTRONIC is now available

What's the difference?

any pro and cons of using lighter engine oil and the thicker engine oil?

Singapore has no winter, does it mean 0W is suitable?
