Please advice with our exorbitant property prices in SG, is JB property the way to go?

Saw HORIZON HILLS on web and look like a good place to buy and stay there. Any advice?

been there, the built quality is good but below expectation especially for the RM$800k above units.
check out east ledang, ledang heights and puteri harbour.
since you mentioned investment, the target buyers are sporean and expats so the unit that you choose ie location, exclusivity, security, surroundings, road connectivity, etc are critical

Bang for bucks, yes big land/size and near to singapore, etc. However I know during Dr mahathir regime, there were many cases of hiccup in construction of the houses, blah blah blah. The worst I ever heard was the parliament passed a bill backdated a few years to tax foreign investors. Many Singaporeans got their fingers burnt and was forced to sell cheaply to Malaysians. Forgot the name of the project, it was quite a big hoo hah during 90s. Dunno abt the current Najib regime, he looks like a good PM.

Yeah factor in bodyguards/secuirty guards cost especially if you keep driving BMW there..

some expats work in cbd and travel in/out everday from johor ... in porsche (i assume) ... hence 30mins should be no prob
