Re: Unichip Q Installation

So Bro Guni, the Unichip module will stay that way as seen in the photo? Not hidden or concealed?

Milk, any reply on my earlier qn?

2) Also, is the mapping switchable on / off at anytime ? And is there an optional mapping mode? - The UniQ allow us to switch to 5 maps.
But this will be extra cost. Will need to fly a wire in and a switch. This will allows us to switch from standard map to the tune map and we do not have to stop the vehicles for the switching. The effect is immediate.
Usually my tuner will only do the map switching once everything is working fine meaning we have got the max of the car and also a fuel conserved maps. In this instance then it will benefits the owner on both the price.

3) How does this affest the response in both D and Ds mode? Ds mode already holds the revs higher and longer rite? How will the chip then account for this?- So about the gearbox?????? It have been claimed that auto gearbox can take higher rev then the programmed. But will have to add additional cooler for the gearbox.(have not been tested). The chip is only connected to ur engine ECU not your Auto Trans ECU, so the D & Ds mode will just reacts to how the engine is mapped .

4) any dyno charts to see how the curves change?

Bro, for your Q4.... my tuner does a on road tuning for you, not on a dyno machine as for dyno tuned, you would be flooring in on every gear which i dun think it would be ur daily driving pattern........

We were afraid gear change might be a little jerky after tuning, but turns out fine.
Will take u less den a day to get used to the gear...
