Re: integrated ipod interface + bluetooth kit for e9x / e6x without and with i-drive

PML quoted me $3100 for Bluetooth kit, as well as apple iphone adaptor in my centre armrest. Able to charge the phone, play songs from my phone, and answer calls etc from steering wheel.

Not trying to spoil market here or affect you doing business, but my ride is under warranty. Installing your kit voids the warranty right?

HI There,

don't worry about genuine questions, just feel free to ask. You need to know what you are getting in to.

yes its supposed to void warranty. Installation is not irreversible though and like many after market installs, PML is not supposed to fault a brake problem due to an ICE installation but we could never know

Re: integrated ipod interface + bluetooth kit for e9x / e6x without and with i-drive

i was fiddling with the unit this morning, guess what... it supports A2DP alright!

what does this mean? if you don't own an ipod, but your phone plays MP3 to a pair of Bluetooth headphones, then it means your phone/pda can play music wirelessly to your car system.

like they say, picture speaks a thousand words...

I've checked it out with my agent already. He said after fixing this if there's any issue later with regards to any area that the installation has touched, PML shall not be responsible for it but if its issue with engine, brake.. etc PML will stil honour the warranty.

But he also adviced after fixing this, the CD player / changer MIGHT not work.. is that true?

And also does it support Nokia N Series Phone? Although its stated "YES" inside the list that you've posted but just to confirm, cos my agent mentioned BMW one do not support.
Any testing done yet?

Re: integrated ipod interface + bluetooth kit for e9x / e6x without and with i-drive

Could you advice what car / model you are driving / with /w/o idrive and the position of the cd changer.

Some models allow retention of the cd changer.
