Shipping Alternative..

Hi there guys.

Sorry don't know where suitable for this thread so just post in The Lounge..

Say i need to ship 4 tires from the US to Singapore.. but air freight will cost me US$450 via fedex international economy..

The retailer said to get someone pick up the tires from him and go through a freight forwarder, that will be cheaper..

Anyone knows how this work or how i can get the tires from the US to here? Time is not an issue.. prefebly the cost can be ~US$150..

CHEERS! ;-)

Re: Shipping Alternative..

Try Vpostusa. They were certainly cheaper for most items, but haven't tried tires, wheels etc.

Re: Shipping Alternative..

Don't use Vpost for tires! They're pretty expensive for big items. After all they are Singapore Post.
With Freight Forwarding more often than not you would have to go to the Changi Cargo area to collect the goods. It's pretty easy I did it when I brought in my UUC Brakes. It's only alittle more hassle plus you can track the items. I would recommend using China Airlines, I believe that's what I used previously.
