GT4 Thread.

Anyone playing GT4 ? Lets share some tuning tips and circuit timing

Managed to clock 336kph with my E46 M3 at the long straight of Nurburbring.

Modifications

1) Stage 3 NA Tuning
2) Full Customised Suspension set up.
3) Stage 2 Weight Reduction
4) Exhaust and Air Filter: Racing
5) Light weight Flywheel
6) Racing Brakes
7) Port Polish
Racing Chip
9) NOS
10) Triple Plate Clutch
11) Carbon Camshaft

After trying out the Club M races I realise my 470bhp M3 was still crap around the corners despite handling upgrades as compared to the M3 CSL which I'm not sure if its modded. Able to smoke the CSL on straights though

I must say that GT4 handling characteristic is much much better then GT3.

Just won the E46 M3 GTR after completing the Club M race. Can't wait to mod it !

Special thanks to Racebred if not I wouldn't be playing this game now.

i've posted the above list so you can find out which cars you'd like to win and use for future competitions.

My personal strategy (and i'm sure many others will do the same too) is to take a quick scan of all the races available in the game. See which car can satisfy most of the race entry requirements, and then go and win the car, fully mod it, and complete as much of Gt4 as you can with it.

Personally, i only lightly modded the M3 which is my first car. I use it to win the BMW M challenge, and won an M3 GTR. With the money i win, and the money i saved from not modding the M3 too much. (basically tyres and an NA tune up will do), i manage to fully mod up the M3 GTR.

With such a car, i can enter all FR events, all european, and all club level races. It's good for close to 10% of completion by then. Then using the cars you win from such races, you enter the others and so on. So you only need to play each race once and you'll have enough cars and money to complete the game.

My m3 GTR is putting out >600bhp, and it's good for a sub 7.30min in nurburgring. Nos is essential.

the cheapest mod is an oil change. From a brand new car, do a $50 oil change and you will gain about 15bhp. plus the car runs much smoother. so dont forget about it.

So far I'm having good results with the Cadillac CIEN 02... just win 2 rally races (Rally d' Umbria) and you have a 700+ bhp car with sweet handling (MR configuration). With an SC it goes to 900+ bhp...

BTW I prefer to switch off all forms of ASM (Active Stability Management) and leave traction control on. My timing was much better and had an easier time trying to control the car, especially with the license test where you have to dodge cones in the Z4.

Any bro can help me as to why my original GT4 game ) bought from japan would not boot up on my PS2? Mine is a modified PS2 unit. So far there's another bro experiencing the same problem with the Jap and "chong" GT4. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
