Re: STI and sing dollar falling fast,my coffin money eroding.

My hiadees in the financial mkt tells me there are more shiit to come, so Lord Vader, u had better not put $$ into UOB or DBS or SIA. Cos they all will depreciate, much like if u buy a new Porsche 911. So moral of story is, Porsche and stock mkt...LPPL. >>> but porsche...mai tu liao

Hey darth,
Not too bad la...
Anyway, keep some money in precious metals (30%). some in properties or land banking in Canada still alright, and the rest cash...
Anyway, safe currencies are still CAD, HKD, SGD, as USD is artificially inflated due to the perception of World's reserve currencies.
Even Jim Rogers gave up his citizenship to be a PR here and sends his children to a local school to study mandarin! haa....
Long term, China/india will help drive....but this is 7 years of famine (beginning) so we're in for a balls squeezing ride for a while yet.
So better be prudent, don't anyhow buy lor....
Properties may not be so flippable as the depth of crisis has not really started yet.... (i've been expecting it for the last 2-3 years liao, and i was considered late liao...hee)...

ANyway, go easy on banking stocks...no confidence la...I bumped into an old buddy from Uni days a week ago and he told me he already lost close to SGD 150k since 3rd quarter of last year till now buying up US banking stocks (nope, he ain't even close to oei hong leong)...and told me to buy into Citi (around USD$3)...i told him, better not cos they may collapse anytime (or maybe nationalise)...

today's Citi price is lke USD$1.95? terok la....they're on a spiral as USA is basically debt based economy...

this may lead to either a depression...or hyper inflation. Either way? it sucks...

Sorry for the long intro... :-)

ps: am looking into buying a 320 tommorrow from PML cos they say special price $107,800. (basic basic model la). Any Lao Jiao here can give me advice as to if it's a good price? (list is $131,000). :-)

Cheerio!
Bonsoir (may the force be with u)

Re: STI and sing dollar falling fast,my coffin money eroding.

a lot of singaporeans think the economy will improve in the later half of 2009.
personally i think things will get worst and only improve in the later half of 2010.

because singapore haven't experienced a recession lasting 8 quarters, people here have no idea a tsunami is coming.

wealth preservation is top priority now, forget wealth generation.
