Ya man bro, I think this thing is going to cause an public uproar. By virtue of the fact that the uncles aunties not enough money to eat already, still must contribute to town council and they farking lost $12 million!

Wahahahahaha, what a brilliant investment guru.....

"...... Dr Teo said the potential $8-million loss should be viewed in the context of the $24 million in investments generated over the past six years. If the Town Council had invested all its funds in low-risk investments, it would have earned only $5 million, he said."

Dr Teo, what was the Value-At-Risk (VAR) of the portfolio over the last 6 years? Sharpe ratio?

If there are no risk-adjustment on the absolute return, then the town councils are operating the funds WORSE than a hedge fund !!!

They should. The way they talked, might as well do day-trades with the funds.

Anyhow, we gotta be thankful of these wise guys.

In fact we have to be thankful of everything thrown at us.

It reminds me of my prayers.......... they are playing God.....
