Re: When a CNG car goes Ka-BOOM!

This might be worst-case scenario... but better safe than sorry - I have already told my wife to stay far away from the neighbour's CNG MPV which is always parked outside our gates!! I think I better increase my house insurance coverage man.... talk about obliteration....

Re: When a CNG car goes Ka-BOOM!

oh please, come on guys. In AUS, you have to be a certified installer, very strict. Im sure Singapore being very on will also have strict guidelines. DONT ever install yourself or by backyard mechanic

Re: When a CNG car goes Ka-BOOM!

Actually, i do not think its the installation. most of the time, it is the maintenance of the system that lacks. How many times have you had a slight whiff of LPG near to your stove? This is assuming that you use bottle gas. It is the bloody regulator seal and hose that develops slight hair line cracks that leak gas which calls for replacements.

I think the maintenance of CNG systems need to be top notch. The bottle of gas resides inside the cabin of the car and leaks are really not desirable.

Cheers

Re: When a CNG car goes Ka-BOOM!
