Medeka Millenium Race 2007 Tickets

As above, i might be going for the MME Race 2007 at Sepang and its starting on 23rd to 25th August 2007. The actual race is slated to start on Sat 25th August 2007 at 10am and finishes at midnight. Those who are keen to go down can obtain the tickets through me. Tickets can be obtained at RM80 which translates to about SGD36. Those who are extremely keen and can deposit the amount into my POSB bank account as follows :

POSB Savings A/C
172-32551-3

I need to confirm the tix by 2pm today so those who are only keen pls sign up. Last minute cancellations will not be entertained once deposited. Please not that these are not normal tickets but are PIT PASSES that allows you to completely see how the teams strategize and pit stop. I am only limited to 5 tickets for these Pit passes so update here as soon as possible.

Best Regards,
Omar Curim

P.S - The Lotus R1 will win again this year. * Flame Suit ON!!! *

One of our forumers is taking part in the race, wish him luck.

A strong contender this year is 997GT3 RSR that has won ALMS endurance race..

Hv fun

Re: Medeka Millenium Race 2007 Tickets

Like Omar, I bet on the Lotus R1 winning again even vs the RSR because of the R1's design and because that specific team's budget is second to none. There's just so much less mass to be moved around on tires that aren't that much smaller, and on fuel tanks of identical capacity. There are other factors but some of them negate each other, most of them vary by only a small amount, and all of them collectively have much less of an effect than the listed big three.. mass, tire, capacity.

That's the probability as I see it, but anything can happen - especially the way MME has been at least so far with the large spreads within each class, and all the interloping between them (A to O, B to A, C to A, even C to O!). The latter part is especially shocking because the classes are so distinctly different. O to C is just light years apart. As the budget and expertise (car spec and prep) spreads shrink within each class, so will the lap position spreads. This will reduce or even come close to altogether stopping the interloping. It just takes time.

Shawn told me he's going to waste the field with his driving skills. I'm not sure if he meant beating his competitors soundly, or literally destroying the grassy runoff area of the track via ploughing.

There are 2 aspects to winning in these kind of race conditions. You may have the fastest car and a piss poor pit team and a dickhead strategy co-ordinator, u lose. I have seen lotus R1 team and i was duly impressed with the way the pit team functioned at every pit. Looking down the line, you really can see the difference as far as organization, safety and diagnostic checks are concerned. What do you think makes Ferrari so succesful even without Michael Schumacher ? It was a bonus with him but ppl were getting bored of it. Its how the whole team works as a whole with loads of experience under their belt. Even a wrong decision to make a pit stop would cost ya. But i gotta admit the porsche that came in 2nd or 3rd last year sounded real sick. I loved the sound of that engine. The Lemans sound. The kinda sound that wud lift a skirt off a girl if she were to be blown past by this car. Truly an amazing and unforgettable soundtrack.
