samsung mobile.. beware!!

hi guys/gals, just wanted to share my not so good experience with samsung esp to those intending to get their latest SGH-D900 aka ultra 12.9. for those that do not know, it is the slimmest 3megapixel cameraphone in the market. it came with micro-sd expansion slot which cause me some grievances. to cut to the point, i bought a 1gb kingston card and it didn't work (card is ok as it work on my pc). bring to service centre, say doesn't support 1gb cos it work with 512mb. i pointed out to him that the brouchers, manual n website didn't state that it doesn't support 1gb card. i asked for their manager to call me back regarding this. the manager call me the next day saying bascially i got no case against samsung cos the term & condition say memory card not their problem.. what the hell!! i asked him for the samsung asia office response and he call me back 3days later. Now he say it support 1gb but must buy sandisk!! his excuse for not informing the public is that they can't state that they only support sandisk and they can't test all the cards in the market. what piss me off is their attitude of "this is not their problem, shd read term & condition" and do not inform the consumer about this issue esp. mine is not the only case as i heard from the service centre staff got quite a no. of people bought the kingston card.

so whoever thinking of buying the phone, pls take note it currently only support 1gb micro-sd card from sandisk. v sorry for the long post. just want to let my frustration out and let people beware..

Re: samsung mobile.. beware!!

i neva trust in samsung products. Experience wit the mobile phone, after a year all sort of prbs came. From vga camera to screen... Their customer service at the centrepoint really s***. Unhelpful, rude n delay in time. From that incident no more samsung for me
Used to have the N80 with the kingston 1gb mmc. I faced the same prob as u not only dat, it laggs in the gallery n sms.
Now i'm happy with my K800i. Dam GOOD!!

Re: samsung mobile.. beware!!

It is possible that certain brand of SD cards are not compatible with certain hardware. Always good practice to bring the hardware with u to test on the spot.

Got a friend who bought X brand SD card for use with his Canon camera. Didn't work. Changed to Sandisk, works perfectly.

I do not work for Sandisk.
