Ed, thanks for the info, I've booked a E92 M3 DCT, AW as well . Trying to decide on wheels....We spoke at the last meetup, I was asking you about the clear bra on your ride. BTW, luv your GruppeM stuff!

ah... that was you. you got in for the june production? dct would be quite awesome...

these neez wheels are cool. i'm running ET+35 for my fronts too and they are sunken in but overall road handling doesn't seem to have been affected by that... as for the rear, like what jack said, should be quite fierce...

definitely can consider...

cheers

true. my current 19" rims are roughly 9.5 to 10kg. very light in comparison to other 19s.
this may be a factor for you.

this 1-2kg increase can imho be felt significantly during acceleration. i know i can feel differences when i increase my rim diameter + weight...

what's the weight for these rims?

cheers

Re: Neez

I was told Neez and schmiden could have been forged at the same plant. Dont know about dymag but think Schmeiden a tad lighter than neez. Lightest of all I think is the mighty HRE C-series?

Urban legend? Purportedly, Neez, Schmeiden, Champion Motorsports, HRE, RAC, I heard all the same 8000 ton forge in Japan. The only other manufacturer with such a forge is BBS.

This kind of forge makes possible to spread forge 6061 aluminium and form an entire wheel from a single billet of aluminium.

Given the same forge, the weight is a function of design and customer limitations only.
