Hi newredbug,

Welcome to BMW.SG

My front windows lightly shudder (& squeal) sometimes when its wound down when the glass panels are semi-wet.. When dry, there's no such problem.

Is the vibration in your case the same? Or does it happen when dry as well?

Regards.

my E36 windows do the same thing... fixed it by securing the glass to the frame and lubricating the guide rails etc ..fairly logical fix (at least to me..) ..u'll know what to fix when u pop the door panels and expose the innards..wonder if the E46 is the same?..:P

Cheap way is to install anti friction tapes along the window trims.
