Side Mirrors Motor running continously

Hi all..

my ride is 318i, previous model to the latest one.

last night after parking and switch off engine, hear a humming sounds and it came from the left side mirror. The sounds of mirror motors are running countinously and the mirror moved to the extreme left (that means from driver seat, u see a wider angle). use hand to force the mirror back to position but still move to the extreme left. likewise for the remote, left side mirror doesn't move at all, always move to the extreme left.

switch off engine, the side mirror motor still runing and to extreme left. afraid it might eventually drain my battery, thus brought to PML for check-up.

Just wondering if anyone experiences this b4?

thanks

Did you change your's to the aftermarket type? If you did, I think it's because of the memory. You need to dismantle the door, pluck out the wire and re-connect back(sort of like re-setting it back again). It should be ok after that.
